Troodos mountain is the highest mountain range on the island. Its highest peak is Mount Olympus reaching a height of 1952 metres above sea level. It is a popular destination during the winter months for skiing and sledging, as due to its altitude is covered in snow during the colder months. Troodos is just as popular in the summer as people escape the scorching heat to somewhere more refreshing and crisper air to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
